Who We Are
Redeemer Lutheran is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, Eastern Synod, Toronto Conference. We are a congregation of diverse backgrounds and ages in the west end of Toronto, Ontario. Our Pastor is Eric Schultz. We're a small, vibrant and diverse church at Bloor and Indian Road in Toronto's High Park neighbourhood. Together, we worship God, serve Him in our community and support each other in our spiritual journeys. Sunday school is held during regular Sunday services. We all begin in church together. Then children 4-12 head to our one-room Sunday school. (There is no Sunday school Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.) Younger children are welcome to stay in church. Restless little ones can find a place to play in the church hall with their parents. This year, for our Advent Outreach Project, we're making We Care kits for CLWR (Canadian Lutheran World Relief) to ship overseas. If you're interested in being involved, just email the church.
Where We Are
Redeemer Lutheran The church is on the southwest corner of Bloor St. W. & Indian Road (2 blocks east of Keele Street/Parkside Drive). Click here to see a map. If you're driving, there is street parking around the church, and the TTC parking lot is free on Sundays. It is located at the east end of Keele subway station, accessible from Indian Road Crescent, north off Bloor Street. If you're coming by public transit, take the Bloor subway line to Keele Station. Use the eastern exit onto Indian Road. Walk through the parking lot and up the hill. (Click here for maps of the subway system). If you are new to our church you may have a few questions. When We Worship
Our current worship time is 9:30 am on Sunday mornings until the end of June 2012. The first Sunday in July 2012 we go back to a 11:15 am service for one year. We celebrate Holy Communion weekly, and there is Sunday School during the service from September through June for children aged 3-13. There is also a nursery service available for infants. The sanctuary is wheelchair accessible. The Garden Party is the name of a group of local neighbourhood volunteers who tend a vegetable garden beside the church. They grow food for local food banks.
